چکیده
In the concrete industry, legal disputes might occur when a built structure performs worse than it was supposed to during design phase. When dealing with underperformance of self-healing (e.g., no regain water tightness after cracking), these likely be related questioning if healing agents were actually included in material or not. this study, methodology based on Gas chromatography is proposed detect and quantify poly-lactic acid based-healing cementitious materials. The applicability technique for purpose has been demonstrated mortar powders without agents. amount needed conduct experiment less 200 mg, making suitable on-site application limit any destructive action as much possible. gas agent inclusions potential extended other additives, depending their composition.

Strength And Durabilityassessment Of Bacteria Based Self- Healing Concrete
In recent years, there is increasing interest in the phenomenon of mechanical property recovery in concrete construction using self-healing concrete. The study was motivated by the need to find a solution for the problem of cracking approaching the concept of self-healing concrete. The study was carried out on a bacteria based self-healing concrete using Bacillus Subtilis bacteria. The present ...
متن کاملBacteria-based self-healing concrete to increase liquid tightness of cracks
Concrete is a remarkable structural material that has been widely used in the modern age. Nevertheless, natural causes that affect durability and consequently service life of concrete are related with surface damage and cracking of the material. Cracks can influence functionality for liquid retaining structures and can also decrease durability due ingress of water and ions towards steel reinfor...

متن کاملBacteria-based Self-healing of Concrete: Effects of Environment, Exposure and Crack Size
The effect of water-borne contaminants on the durability of concrete is well-known and cracked concrete is more susceptible to permeation of these contaminants. An approach to autonomic self-healing of such concretes is the utilization of microbiologically-induced calciteprecipitation. This approach uses the metabolic activity of bacteria and biomineral precursors embedded within the concrete t...
متن کاملModeling of Self-Healing Concrete: A Review
Self-healing concrete (SHC) has received a tremendous attention due to its advanced ability of automatic crack detection and crack repairing compared to the standard concrete. Two main approaches which considered as to-date self-healing mechanisms are autogenous and autonomous healing. In the past several years, the effort of the research has been focused on experimental works instead of numeri...
